Michael O'Rourke's Bonanza CD 'A Hat Like Hoss'   For fans of the long running TV Show 'Bonanza', Michael O'Rourke has recorded a special 2 song CD for The Bonanza Convention in Lake Tahoe, September 1999.  Now this CD is available from Capcan Music and our on-line store at a special price for all you other Bonanza fans that will not be attending this great  convention.
This convention is to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the screening of the first episode of the much loved TV Series Bonanza, and is being held at the original Ponderosa Ranch, where many of the outdoor episodes of Bonanza were actually filmed.  These days, The Ponderosa Ranch is a popular, western themed tourist attraction on the shores of Lake Tahoe, Nevada.  All attendees and guests at the Convention will receive a copy of this CD as a commemorative gift.  Through Capcan Music, a limited number of the CD will be offered for sale.
The CD has been endorsed by Nancy Greene, wife of the late Lorne Greene, the families of Dan Blocker and Michael Landon, and even the creator of the 'Bonanza' series, David Dortort.  This CD has also been sanctioned by Bonanza Ventures Inc., the holder of the worldwide rights to all Bonanza related property.  ORDER this unique collector's item.

Identical twins, Peter and Mark Nahuysen were born in Brisbane, Australia on January 1^st, 1959. Mark began playing the guitar at age eleven, whilst Peter began on the banjo five years later. Mark enjoyed learning all styles of music, including jazz, classical and popular. Peter’s banjo playing naturally brought a bluegrass and country influence to the sounds heard in the Nahuysen household. Peter and Mark frequently played together as a bluegrass duo, and also with other musical friends formed various country flavoured combinations. Mark continued to play jazz and other styles in settings varying from jazz trios to full scale orchestras.

They also formed an award winning country gospel band in the mid 1980’s, called "The Shekels", and recorded two albums of original music. They have also backed other artists, including country father and daughter performers Arthur and Jewell Blanch. Peter and Mark have both worked as session musicians on quite a number of various styles of recordings. They were also featured performers at World Expo 88 as a lively bluegrass trio. Their music has featured on several national TV shows for the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Commission), and the Shekels performed a video clip for a national ABC country music show. (Stampede)

Interestingly, these 2 songs  for this CD were originally written for a yet to be produced screenplay written by Peter Nahuysen entitled "Mr. Bo'Nanza" , a story about a young, country music star 'wanna be' from a sheltered workshop, who also has a penchant for late night TV re-runs.  They were sent to the organizers of the Bonanza Convention, who enthusiastically embraced the concept of the songs, and immediately commissioned them for presentation at this years Convention, in Lake Tahoe, NV.  The songs  'A Hat Like Hoss'© and 'Them Cartwright Boys'© are the © Copyright property of Peter & Mark Nahuysen, A.P.R.A. and A.S.C.A.P., All Rights Reserved.  CLICK HERE TO ORDER
